DALLAS, TX: The Lentz Cos., Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of lighting designer Breck Woolsey to their team this month. Woolsey, former owner of Breck Woolsey Interiors, joined Lentz in April of 2025 and specializes in designing exterior/interior lighting plans, as well as outdoor living spaces for residential, commercial an restaurant properties.
Breck’s extensive design experience is an asset to Lentz customers who can also benefit from his creative eye and existing resources in selecting interior and exterior lighting fixtures to enhance their homes.
Woolsey was also part owner of the furniture company Breckinridge/Taylor: The Design Collective. Their furniture was exclusively sold by Mecox Gardens all over the country. For any Lentz client interested in creating or upgrading their outdoor spaces, Breck can also offer design consultation, sourcing of outdoor furniture/accessories, and a turn-key installation for everything from outdoor kitchens, decks, pools, conversation spaces, even observation areas around sports courts. Adding a pergola, gazebo, or statuary to your lawn and garden? Woolsey can help curate the pieces, supervise installation and enhance it with an artistic lighting plan from Lentz Landscape Lighting.
“I have known about Lentz Landscape Lighting for over fifteen years, and no one does it as expertly as Richard Lentz!”, Woolsey commented. “I was so excited to get an opportunity to work with ‘The Master” and start helping the great folks at Lentz and their customers,” he added. According to Woolsey, “as an interior designer, I envisioned a room as if creating a painting and then making it happen.” He adds, “I plan to transition that same approach from interiors to exteriors by virtually painting with light, whether its featuring trees, lawns, pools, gardens, or exterior wall surfaces.”
Richard Lentz, owner of The Lentz Cos., Inc. stated, “We are seeing more of our customers, especially those with younger children, want to make their outdoor spaces more livable and efficient. Breck’s experience in designing a space customized to their needs is something we are thrilled to now offer our customers.” He adds, “For Lentz to then be able to expertly light these spaces so they are safe and functional after dark is an added bonus.”
As a young adult, Woolsey wanted to be an architect, but his years spent in various design schools in California, and his working relationship with Interior Designer Kevin Hayley, helped him develop a skill for design from an affluent perspective. He was instrumental in working with Hayley on residential interiors for the homes of celebrities like Brad Pitt, Cameron Diaz and Leonardo De Caprio.
Woolsey, raised in Lake Highlands, played football for Lake Highlands High School. He is a single dad with four kids aged twenty, eighteen, six, and five and a half. When he is not creating beautiful lighting designs and exterior spaces, Breck enjoys bow hunting and snowboarding in Jackson Hole, Crested Butte, and Telluride.
